The gastronomic walk Le Vin Côté Cours will take place this year on Thursday , May 9 (Ascension) in Aigremont.
For our walk today, 1 Michelin-starred chef Denis Martin (Restaurant The Marcel à Sète) devise an exciting new menu to showcase our superb white summer truffles, perfectly matched with a selection of Duché d’Uzès wines.
The dishes seduce you with their appearance, entice you with their smell and delight you when tasting…!
This is also your chance to discover the village of Aigremont, with its historical and wine-growing heritage with the magnificent landscape of the Cévennes as a backdrop.
At each stop, you’ll be served with delicious food teamed with the perfect Duché d’Uzès wine.

- What is Vin Côté Cours?
Vin Côté Cours is a gourmet food and wine walk, an event to celebrate the products of Duché d’Uzès. The route is 5-6km long, with a stop made after every kilometre to enjoy a different dish, from appetiser to dessert, paired with a selection of 3-5 wines chosen by our winemakers. The recipes are all new, created by our celebrity chef to showcase Duché d’Uzès white summer truffles. Stops are made in the area’s most iconic locations, linked either to local heritage or wine production. Duché d’Uzès Appellation winemakers will be on hand throughout to share their expertise and explain which wines make the best pairings with which foods.
To ensure things go as smoothly as possible, participants will be divided into small groups, one group leaving every 15 minutes from 10.15am to 1.15pm.
- The Chef, Denis Martin
Trained in prestigious houses by illustrious chefs : Michel Kayser (2 Stars), Glenn Viel (3 Stars), Chef Denis Martin became, in 2015, the second to Fabien Fage, 1 Star Chef in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. A meeting that will change his life and which will lead the two Chefs to let their creativity speak for a magnificent challenge, in 2018: to take charge of the emblematic restaurant THE MARCEL in Sète. In 2019, they won the first Michelin star after only 7 months of opening.
Two years later, Denis Martin, a talented young chef recognized for his creativity, took sole reins of the starred restaurant THE MARCEL.
Lover of local products and a fan of Mediterranean gastronomy, the Chef invites you to discover his cuisine through his 3 addresses: The MICHELIN-starred restaurant “The Marcel”, Comptoir au Rio and “The Marcel aux Halles de Sète”.
Originally from Gard, it is with pleasure that Denis Martin is today making a “return to his origins” and creating a new menu for Vin Côté Cours.
