Gastronomy Festival Saveurs & Savoirs

For the second edition, the Saveurs & Savoirs Culture and Gastronomy Festival will be held from October 10 to 13 in Uzès.

Initiated by the Librairie de la Place aux Herbes, with the help of gourmet journalist François-Régis Gaudry, the festival will take over many emblematic places in the ducal city. On the program: conferences, tastings, meetings, cooking competitions, exhibitions, screenings… A weekend rich in discoveries, where flavors and knowledge will mingle in a friendly and warm atmosphere!

The Duché d’Uzès wines are once again a partner of the event! Find the wines and winemakers during several highlights of the weekend.

 

The Grand Repas at the Priory of Saint Nicolas

In the sumptuous setting of the Priory of Saint Nicolas, Chef Nordine Labiadh offers you a friendly evening around an exceptional couscous. This moment of sharing will bring together the festival guests, the chefs, and all those wishing to live a unique culinary experience. To accompany this meal, a refined selection of AOP Duché d’Uzès wines will be offered to the guests.

 

 

Food and wine pairings during cooking demonstrations by the Gardois starred chefs

Cooking demonstrations are organized (by reservation) at the Loggia in Uzès. A pairing with a Duché d’Uzès wine is proposed after the tastings by the starred chefs:

Friday, October 11 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Serge Chenet & Jérôme Nutile “Espuma of black pudding with lovage cappuccino, cooked with Compagnon I-Touch Pro”
Saturday, October 12 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Mathieu Hervé “Pigeon des Costières de Nîmes, foie gras from Gubernat and truffle”
Sunday, October 13 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Sébastien Rath “COOK spices: Ode to plant nature”

 

Saveurs & Savoirs Market

During the Saveurs & Savoirs Market on Sunday, October 13, find the wines and winemakers of the Appellation at the winemakers’ stand but also at the refreshment bar and during various workshops (free and open to all):

  • Introduction to oenology,
  • Creation of wine-based cocktails with Terre d’Uzès,
  • Workshop for creating a wine blend,
  • Hashimoto Taïsuke wine and chocolate pairings.
