Almost 4 generations of the Reynaud family have been united in their passion for vine and wine. Luc Reynaud currently heads up the family estate located in Saint Siffret, the village where he grew up. Luc’s love of winemaking developed under the watchful eye of his grandfather, a rather unusual winemaker whose second great love was books. Domaine Reynaud’s emblem is a quill pen, chosen in his honour.
Luc yearned to create a winery where he could make his own wines, a dream he achieved in 2000. For him, wine has always been about sharing, and forging relationships: in addition to his work as a winegrower, he devotes his time and energy to organisations connected with the terroir. It is, as he eloquently puts it, a good way to open oneself to the world, and to remain open to it.
Over the years, Domaine Reynaud has grown from its original 3 hectares to the 40 it spans today. Organic conversion is well under way, with 2021 set to be the first fully organic vintage.
